Sarah teaches beginner and intermediate students at Studio 3 English. Sarah has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations-Comparative Development from Trinity College in Connecticut and a Master’s degree in Divinity from Trinity School of Ministry in Pennsylvania. Sarah started teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in China in 2005. Since then, she has taught English Language Arts at the high school level as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Providence Public Schools (Rhode Island). She is certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and has taught English with a number of community organizations in Rhode Island, including Dorcas International.

Sarah enjoys helping students communicate clearly and effectively and loves hearing students’ life and family stories. She and her husband, Stephen, live in Westborough with their little dog named Meili.

Meet Our Teacher – Marjorie H. Tatum, B.A., CTEFL 

Marjorie teaches intermediate students at Studio 3 English. Marjorie has a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Drama from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, TX, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Advanced Classical Theatre Performance from the National Shakespeare Conservatory, New York, and earned her CTEFL certification to teach English as a Foreign Language from Boston Academy of English, now known as Stafford House/CELTA BOSTON. Marjorie is passionate about helping students communicate their ideas. Marjorie has taught acting and public speaking classes while living both in the Pacific Northwest and on the East Coast.

Currently, at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Marjorie has and continues to provide 1:1 public speaking lessons for the postdoctoral researchers who work in the Department of Genetics and Complex Diseases at Harvard. As a professional actress she has travelled nationally in over 100 professional productions and performed in plays with various professional theatre companies both on the West Coast and the Mid-West and she is a member of the professional actor’s union Actors’ Equity Association.
